Risk disclosure
Can you lose all your money?
Yes. The UK Financial Conduct Authority says you should be prepared to lose all the money you put into crypto. EU supervisors warn that prices can fall and rise quickly over short periods and that you may lose a lot, or even all, of the money invested.
Are you protected if something goes wrong?
Usually not in the way you would be with a bank. The FCA says UK compensation cover for crypto is highly unlikely. EU supervisors say you will not benefit from compensation schemes. The SEC has warned that US brokerage-account protection does not extend to crypto platforms.
Is anything on this site advice?
No. Blockhorizon provides general education only. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any crypto-asset, or to use any platform. Consider your own circumstances, and seek regulated advice if you need it.
Do calculators predict returns?
No. Our calculators do arithmetic on numbers you enter. They do not know future prices and leave out some costs, which each tool lists.
